In our 2nd Anniversary show Madonovan tells us about the time he literally stared into the Sun as a child and now has permanent black spots in his eyes... He calls Eric Burdon out by pointing out that a Sky Pilot would actually touch the sky. He plays the intro track to one of the few great concept albums of the 90s and gives a shout out to the August Acidfest tour by playing The Dead Zoo. And of course as always gives a nod to optimism as defiance. A.V. has an exclusive on the new video single release from Scare Taxi, picks up some other new release gems on the beach of music and puts them in her playlist basket alongside kicking off with the iconic Prince. From out of the vaults come the dancehall rhythms of Smith & Mighty, a glam-psych stomp from Pop Levi, and glorious 90’s psychedelia from Vibrasonic. Not forgetting, this week’s soundtrack music selections: Bernard Herrmann’s score for Alfred Hitchcock’s ‘Vertigo’, and John Barry’s music for the 1968 Michael Caine thriller ‘Deadfall’. Dig in!

It's Great Escape week here in Brighton. Don't really play a ton of stuff that's playing but honestly get ur arse down and see it irl. Otherwise it's the usual affair. A bunch of new and forthcoming tracks from a bunch of folk ; with a few random tracks popped in for the hell of it. GIVE IT A LISTEN.
